International Student Health and Assistance Insurance

These benefits are for international students under 40 studying outside their country of residence. Globe Partner Students provides health cover from the first euro, together with repatriation assistance and personal liability cover for both private and student life.

Globe Partner Students covers medical expenses up to €300,000 a year, repatriation assistance, personal liability and baggage. The medical expenses cover also applies during a temporary return to your country of residence in the school holidays, in an emergency, for up to 30 days and €15,000.

Yes, in an emergency only. The benefits under the policy do not apply in your country of residence, with one exception for students: during the school holidays, medical expenses arising from an emergency are covered, up to 30 days per policy year and up to a limit of €15,000. Non-emergency treatment, and returns outside the school holidays, are not covered. The details are set out in the general terms and conditions of the policy.

Yes. The Globe Partner Students policy is taken out for a maximum of twelve months and can be renewed twice, giving thirty-six months in total. Each renewal means taking out a new policy, which must follow on from the previous one without a break and be approved by the Insurer. Without that continuity, an 8-day waiting period applies to the new policy.

Not always. Student social security reimburses on the basis of French rates and covers neither assistance nor repatriation. A policy such as Globe Partner Students tops up that cover for protection suited to a period of study.
